The drawing will normally list important information that we will need to know in order to develop the best plan for imprinting your part:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Part size and shape<\/li>\n<li>Material<\/li>\n<li>Imprint location(s)<\/li>\n<li>Ink specifications<\/li>\n<li>Number of colors to be imprinted<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We also will need to know:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What environmental conditions the part will experience (temperature, chemicals, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Typical order quantities<\/li>\n<li>Order lead times<\/li>\n<li>Job turnaround times<\/li>\n<li>How the parts will arrive to us for printing (bulk, individually wrapped, boxed with dividers etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>No design drawing? No problem. \u00a0Bring us your part and we\u2019ll sit down and talk about how best to serve your imprinting needs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Screen Printing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With over 20 years of screen printing experience, Hoosier Badge has imprinted a broad range of customer supplied industrial and commercial parts. \u00a0We have printed a variety of substrates including stainless steel, coated and non-coated aluminum, plastics, and glass.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Laser and Rotary Engraving<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If your application requires an imprint to be etched directly into the part\u2019s surface, we have you covered! \u00a0With our years of engraving experience coupled with the multiple laser and rotary machines that we have available, we have the expertise and capacity to meet your marking needs. Engraving is a great method of imprinting parts made from metal, acrylic, glass and two ply laminate plastic materials.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sublimation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If the artwork for your part requires a full color image or has complex halftones, sublimation imprinting may be a good printing option. This process can be used if the part\u2019s surface has been treated with a clear polymer coating. The sublimation process, using a combination of heat and pressure, encapsulates the image within the coated surface of the substrate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Art Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Art files need to be vectored or a minimum of 300 ppi when sized to the finished print dimensions.<br \/>\n<em>If your file is below 300 ppi you cannot resave it as a higher ppi. That will result in a blurry image.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>If you have a raster file, you cannot resave it as a vector file. This does not convert properly.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Art files:<\/strong> Please supply art files in the following formats:<br \/>\nIllustrator (.AI)<br \/>\nVector (.EPS)<br \/>\nPhotoshop (.PSD)<br \/>\nPDF<br \/>\nJPEG<br \/>\nTIFF<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fonts:<\/strong> Fonts should be embedded, or text should be converted to outlines.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Colors:\u00a0<\/strong> Colors should be CMYK preferably, but RGB can also be used with some color loss.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Proofs:<\/strong> Up to 2 free electronic proofs will be made available upon request.
